Real Madrid have been blasted by Vasco da Gama over their pursuit of 15 year-old prospect Philippe Coutinho.
"Real Madrid went to the player's family and made very tempting but illegal offers," Vasco president Eurico Miranda said. "We have reported Real Madrid to FIFA and the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) for their approach to Philippe Coutinho.
"Coutinho is only 15 and the FIFA rules are clear, transfers abroad are only allowed for 18-year-olds."
Miranda said Real had offered a job to the player's father and the chance to live abroad.
"They try to get around the law by taking those responsible for the player to live and work abroad. They offer a job to the father and take the player. But they're not doing that here at Vasco," he said. (Tribalfootball)

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is prepared to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a contract worth £8.75 million-a-year to prise him away from Manchester United.
DiarioSport says with his Real team now wobbling, Calderon knows if they finish the season without a trophy the only way he can calm restless fans is by returning to predecessor Florentino Perez's galacticos policy.
Only last week, Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, was in Madrid, fueling speculation of talks with Real directors about the Portugal international's situation. Despite positive noises coming from both club and player, Ronaldo is still to sign a new contract with United, despite talks this season over an improved deal.

Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has dismissed talk of a summer move to AC Milan.
The France international told La Nazione: "I could have left when Fiorentina were going into Serie B, I do not see why I would want to leave now that we are fighting for fourth place and for the Uefa Cup.

The Frenchman told UEFA.com that his side's 3-2 win at Celtic Park proved that the blaugrana are able to defeat anyone when they turn on the style.

He said, "When we play to 100 per cent we cannot be stopped."

One player in particular came in for praise from the ex-Lyon man: Ronaldinho.
"I'm very happy for Ronnie because he's been highly criticised lately," Abidal continued.

"Tonight he showed that we can still count him. We're a united group and it's important to achieve victories together.

"Our objective beforehand was to head home with a victory, and we did that nicely.

Roberto Mancini exchanged insults with Inter Milan's away fans at Anfield after last night's 2-0 defeat by Liverpool.

Tuttosport says the Inter coach was barracked and booed by a small section of the Inter away support as he left for the dressing room after the final whistle. There were concerns that the confrontation could become physical.

However, Inter president Massimo Moratti insisted: "I have nothing to be angry about with Mancini nor the team. We were heroic."

In contrast, Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic turned on teammate Marco Materazzi after his first-half dismissal.

Asked why Inter lost, Gazzetta dello Sport says the Swede snapped: "What happened? Ask Materazzi."

Juventus are ready to pay a major fee for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Despite the prospect of signing Lampard for a knockdown £6 million in the summer courtesy of FIFA's Article 17 law, Juve are willing to pay around £10 million to Chelsea in order to maintain good relations with the London giants, says Controcampo.

Liverpool's American owners will have earned a cool £65,000-A-DAY from their investment should they complete the club's sale to Dubai International Capital.

The News of the World says Tom Hicks and George Gillett will share a £50m bonanza when DIC finally completes it's expected takeover.

The Arabs are closing in on the deal which will end the Americans' reign.

Negotiations have reached a key stage, with Gillett now most likely to be first to end his association with the club. Hicks remains the main obstacle as the Arab investment group seek a swift conclusion.

The club is now valued at around £400m, but £350m of this figure forms recently incurred debt.

Ronaldo's father has told newspapers in Brazil that this great career is not over and Leonardo agrees.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani won't rule out handing crocked striker Ronaldo a new contract as he recovers from his knee operation.

Ronaldo's surgeons confirmed last night that he would need nine months' rehab, but Galliani says: "Anything we can do for him, we will. For now, his priority is to get better.

"It's too early to talk about his contract, for one thing we need to know what he wants to do."

Yaya Toure has again revealed Chelsea striker Didier Drogba wants a move to Barcelona.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admits the club were wrong not to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka when they had the chance in 2002.
Gerrard told the News of the World: "Every club makes a couple of mistakes in the transfer market and we made one when we didn't sign Nicolas Anelka in 2002.
"Nicolas was top class for us and I thought he'd done enough to stay. He was a good lad around the dressing-room as well.
"I've always thought it was a shame he's not still with us. What made it doubly disappointing for me was I knew how desperate he was to sign on a permanent deal at the time.

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has admitted he's interested in Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
With Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry leading the Barca attack and youngster Bojan Krkic rapidly rising to fame, Barca was looking an unlikely destination.
But Rijkaard confirmed he could be interested in a move come the end of the season.
"Eto'o is a player in our team and he performs very well for us," he said. "For that reason I don't see a swap deal.

Juventus are planning a bid for unsettled Barcelona star Deco.

DiarioSport says Juve coach Claudio Ranieri sees Deco as the element his midfield has been missing this season. The Portugal international can arrive as a direct replacement for countryman Tiago in the summer as part of Juve's spending spree.

Along with Deco, Juve are also chasing Amauri (Palermo), Johan Elmander (Toulouse), Diego (Werder Bremen) and Antonio Cassano (Real Madrid).
