Txiki slams Schuster

Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain has fired a barb at Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster after the German lost his rag with the media following their 3-2 victory at Recreativo Huelva on Saturday night.
Schuster's post-match media conference only lasted four questions before he stormed out and upon hearing of the row, Begiristain snapped: "It was not only yesterday this has happened, this has been going on all season, he reacts like this in tense situations."
Asked what he would do if he was in charge of Schuster, Begiristain added: "I would ask the trainer to think about his responsibility to the club which he represents - and not only of himself.
"The coach is the image of the club, not only the one in charge of building a great team." (Tribalfootball)

"Fabio Capello, for me, has been the best coach." (Tribalfootball)

Mancini: Roma, Inter Milan best two teams in Italy

Amantino Mancini has warned Inter Milan that Roma have them in their sights.

After Inter's stumble against Udinese this week, Mancini declared: "Inter have slowed down and now Roma are improving. In recent games they have failed to win, but we still must respect them. They remain the strongest team in the championship.

"What's most important is that Roma worry about themselves. We must collect as many points as we can then at the end of the season we'll see what happens.

"It's obvious that Inter and Roma are the two strongest teams in Italy.

"I'd prefer to win the Scudetto rather than the Champions League. Winning the Scudetto would be wonderful for the Italian fans of Roma." (Tribalfootball)

Rivaldo joins Schuster slamming Barcelona's Ronaldinho treatment

Rivaldo has joined Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster in criticising Barcelona's treatment of their best players.
Schuster last week hit out at Barca over their treatment of Ronaldinho and ex-Nou Camp hero Rivaldo joined the German in condemning the culture at the club.
Now with AEK Athens, Rivaldo told DiarioSport: "I do not know very well what is happening, but Ronaldo left after one year at Barca. Romario also failed to comply with his contract. I ended up at Milan.
"Therefore I do not think it is coincidence, and of course the blame isn't solely football. Something's happening at Barca with the major players.
"All players have ups and downs and we went through good and bad times, but I make one thing very clear: Ronnie is the same. Sure.
"Furthermore, I do not think that it is good for the image of Barca that this is happening to Ronnie ...
"In my view everyone must show more affection to Ronie, from the players, to the club and the press.
"It's dangerous what is happening. If people treat Ronaldinho like this when he is out of form, then what can Lionel Messi be thinking when the same thing happens to him?" (Tribalfootball)

"Now I do not think about this because we have the Liga and many things to win. At the end of the season I will decide my future." (Tribalfootball)

Ronaldinho Should Play In El Clásico - Deco

The Portuguese international recognised that the only person that can decide is coach Frank Rijkaard, but promoted his teammate's cause to be included on Sunday.
Ronaldinho remained on the bench as Barça defeated Valencia last weekend, but there is a concensus building that he should play against Madrid and Deco agrees.
"The players that are ready have to play and I think Ronaldinho is in good condition;" he said. "But it is still down to the coach to decide."
Despite adding to the debate, Deco then explained that he preferred it the build-up was not all about whether one player is picked or not.
"It takes away the focus from what is really important and while we talk about this, they take advantage in Madrid," he explained.
"What is important is the team and I think that now we are in a good moment.
"We are training hard and are motivated, so we should not cause ourselves problems."
Deco then reflected on the draw at Camp Nou last term against Madrid and believes that Barça should learn from the mistakes that they made that day.
"Last season they scored three goals against us and caused us a lot of problems on the counter-attack. We have to be careful. We know what they can do," he concluded. /Goal.com

Calderon: Kaka couldn't get into current Real Madrid XI

Ramon Calderon believes Real Madrid are so strong that they wouldn't be able to find a place for new World Player of the Year, Kaka.
The AC Milan star has been a long-term target for Real president Calderon, who said: "We have a squad capable of winning everything.
"It may sound arrogant, but perhaps we wouldn't be able to find a place for Kaka."
On Barcelona losing Lionel Messi for Sunday's big game, Calderon also said: "When a team loses such an important player, they also lose their effectiveness and creativity.
"Real would be the same if we lost Raul." /Tribalfootball
